This is a unique opportunity to use your language skills to inspire and support secondary school students -- while gaining valuable paid experience that could lead to teacher training, further study, or careers in diplomacy, education, publishing, policy, or international development.

About the Role:


As an MFL Academic Mentor, you'll work in a secondary school setting, supporting pupils aged 11-16 in their language learning journey. You'll help students build confidence in French or Spanish through one-to-one sessions and small group interventions -- particularly those preparing for their GCSEs.

More than just a support role, this is a chance to lead, motivate, and create positive change in students' language learning, while developing your own skills in leadership, mentoring, and education.

Start Date:

September 2025

Working Hours:

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary:

480 per week (gross)

Contract Length:

One academic year

Training Provided:

Full induction and ongoing professional development

Progression:

Excellent preparation for PGCE, Schools Direct, Teach First, or careers in education and public service
