Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Counter Staff to join our team in a vibrant restaurant environment. As a vital part of our front-of-house operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, strong time management skills, and the ability to upsell menu items effectively.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately. Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and kitchen. Engage with customers to provide recommendations and upsell menu items. Handle cash transactions and maintain basic maths skills for accurate billing. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items. Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food safety practices is advantageous. Strong culinary skills or a willingness to learn about food preparation techniques. Excellent time management abilities to handle busy periods efficiently. Basic maths skills for processing transactions and managing orders effectively.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
