Clarendon Dental is a well-established private dental practice in the heart of Southsea. Our focus is on providing preventative and cosmetic dental care to meet our patients' ever-growing needs and expectations.
We have a fantastic team of Dentists, Hygienists, and Dental Nurses, including Specialists in Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Endodontics, and Implantology. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, and proactive Front Desk/Patient Administrator to join our front-of-house team.
About the role
This is a varied, fast-paced and rewarding position where no two days are the same. You will be the welcoming face of the practice, providing exceptional service to every patient and supporting the clinical team to keep the day running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Greeting patients warmly and ensuring an excellent experience from start to finish
Managing diaries, appointments, calls, and emails efficiently
Using your initiative to anticipate needs and resolve issues quickly
Handling confidential information with professionalism and care
Using practice software, Microsoft Outlook and Office confidently
About you
We're looking for someone who is:
Friendly, well-presented, and confident in communicating with people at all levels
Highly organised and proactive, with excellent attention to detail
A team player who supports colleagues and takes pride in their work
Flexible, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment
Computer-literate, ideally with experience using Outlook, Word, Excel and dental software (Dentally experience an advantage)
Previous experience in a dental or medical administration environment is preferred, but we will also consider applicants with strong administrative skills and the right attitude.
Hours
Monday & Tuesday: 8.15am - 5.15pm
Wednesday & Thursday: 8.15am - 6.15pm
Friday: 8.15am - 3.15pm (+ Approximately one Saturday per month: 7.45am - 1.15pm)
