Front End Developer - React, JavaScript

  • Tech R&D - Water Conservation
  • Southampton / Romsey (Onsite)
  • Experience with JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS
We have an exciting opportunity to join an R&D technology company providing solutions to a global challenge. Conserving, preserving and distributing clean water is a global concern and through advanced R&D this company is delivering solutions. With a highly talented team of software engineers, the company is using digital technology, mathematical and scientific data to engineer better solutions that save and distribute clean water.

As a Front-End Developer / Software Engineer, you will be joining a talented team working to progress their data insights platform. The platform takes in data from sensors and 3rd party equipment, analyses it and displays the data in an accessible and intuitive format that enables critical decision making.

Key Skills:
  • 1 year working with ReactJS / React either on a significant academic project or commercial software development.
  • Experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Appreciation of design and attention to detail
Desirable/beneficial skills:
  • A degree in a scientific, mathematical, computing or software engineering discipline
  • Understanding of User Experience (UX) and User Interface design & development
  • Experience of relational databases (E.G. MySQL)
  • Git Version control
  • Appreciation for data visualization
