MANAGER.



This role is for 40 hours a week, and will be on a Tuesday-Saturday shift pattern.

Typical hours during term times are all day on a Saturday, and then afternoons into early evening on weekdays. During school holidays, this will change to whole day shifts.

About the role



Our

Front of House and Cafe Manager

has a dual role. During the week, the role is very much admin based, dealing with our enquiries, putting in orders - as well as making sure that our Cafe and Kitchen are well stocked and clean. You'll work closely with our Management team to make sure all systems are efficient, have great ideas for seasonal menus, plus manage the rota for the FOH Team. You will manage a budget for FOH, and deal with ordering and suppliers.

During the weekend shift, the role changes to be overseeing the FOH team to make sure all operations work well, whilst working as part of the team in either cafe, reception or in the kitchen. You will manage the Front of House Team, helping with ongoing training, managing the rota and recruitment when needed. You will eventually also be a Duty Manager for the whole centre.

This is an active, and so we're looking for someone that likes to work as part of a team. This could include any aspect of the cafe operation from preparing food for birthday parties, serving in our cafe, hosting birthday parties, cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities, working on reception, answering enquiries, and ongoing efforts to maintain our high standards of health and safety and customer-care.

Computer literate, and confident using booking systems/Microsoft/Outlook/social media Organised with their time and working style Someone with a professional outlook, able to work under own initiative without supervision. Excellent in terms of interpersonal and communication skills with children and adults. Happy to communicate on the phone, email and social media Good with your time. Time-keeping is important to you and you're naturally organised and able to prioritise your workload. Upbeat and positive - able to work as part of a team with a cheerful disposition and remaining calm under pressure. Interested in sport and physical activities - it's what we do, and it's great if you can help on the arena from time to time Happy to climb to a height of 10 metres if needed!

Clip 'n Climb Cambridge is one of two climbing centres run by Walthew Leisure. Our sister centre is Climb Quest MK. Walthew Leisure is run by Beth and Chris Walthew, and is an independent, family-run company.
