Coffee Shop Manager

This role isn't about ticking boxes -- it's about leading a small team with kindness, keeping communication flowing between the cafe and bakery, and helping us grow while staying true to our values.
What the Role Involves
Leading the Team
Support, motivate, and guide a small team of baristas so they feel confident and happy at work.
Lead by example on the floor -- jumping in where needed, whether that's making coffee, helping customers, or restocking.
Plan fair rotas and make sure shifts run smoothly.
Celebrate the team's wins and be the first to offer support when things get tricky.
Keeping Everyone Connected
Act as the bridge between the coffee shop and bakery, making sure communication is clear, friendly, and effective.
Work closely with the bakery to plan product needs, manage stock, and ensure we always deliver the best to our customers.
Share updates, new ideas, and customer feedback with the team so everyone feels included and informed.
Creating a Great Experience
Welcome customers as if they were guests in your home.
Handle any issues with care and positivity, always turning challenges into opportunities.
Make sure every cup of coffee and every interaction reflects the pride we take in our work.
Helping the Business Grow
Keep an eye on sales and costs.
Work with us on new menu ideas, seasonal specials
Play an active role in recruitment, training, and building a team that feels like family.
What We're Looking For
Experience running a cafe, coffee shop, or similar setting.
A natural leader who puts people first and believes in teamwork.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to keep things positive and clear.
Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in, no matter the task.
A genuine passion for great coffee, fresh food, and creating a welcoming environment.
Flexible and reliable -- happy to work mornings, weekends, and busy periods.
