The Front of House Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front-of-house area within our establishment. This position involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant management, coupled with excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage front-of-house staff, ensuring high standards of service and hospitality are maintained.
Coordinate food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Oversee the serving process, ensuring that all customers receive prompt and attentive service.
Maintain a clean and organised front-of-house environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimise customer flow.
Train new staff members in service protocols, food safety, and operational procedures.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively to ensure satisfaction.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Skills
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and production techniques.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest experiences.
Experience in team management, ensuring effective communication among staff members.
Background in serving, barista duties, or hotel operations is advantageous.
