Overview

We are seeking a hardworking and friendly Front of House Team Member to join our busy family owned country pub.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service and a warm welcome. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of guest interaction, serving drinks, taking orders, serving food, and maintaining a clean and hospitable environment.

Duties

Greet guests with a friendly smile and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit. Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest requests are met. Assist in food preparation as required, adhering to food safety standards. Manage the dining area, ensuring it is clean and organised for guests. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales. Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery. Address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

Skills

Proficient in basic maths for handling cash transactions and managing orders. Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Excellent guest services skills with a focus on hospitality and creating memorable experiences. Experience in food preparation is advantageous, along with knowledge of food safety practices. Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance customer satisfaction. Previous experience in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred but not essential. A helpful attitude towards both guests and team members is crucial for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
