We are looking to recruit a new member of staff. The role of the Coffee Shop Assistant / Kitchen Assistant is to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere to all our customers. To prepare fresh food and drinks in a coffee shop setting whilst maintaining a high standard of service and customer care with a friendly and polite attitude at all times.

You must be able to work - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday - 9am to 12Noon

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Cafe Assistant/Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join an independent canal side cafe.

Role Responsibility

Assisting with the preparation of and the serving of all meals and beverages to customers, ensuring great customer service at all times Check stock levels and replenish when necessary Ensure good knowledge of products on sale Ensure the cafe is presented to a high standard throughout the day and carry out a thorough cleaning at the end of the day Ensuring that the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy, assisting with waste removal and washing up Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed Completing any administration as requested including food temperatures, wastage and cleaning schedules To raise any issues or customer suggestions and complaints to the Manager
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Essential

Level 2 Food & Hygiene Excellent communication skills Excellent customer service skills Good levels of literacy and numeracy
Desirable

Experience in the catering industry Basic knowledge of food hygiene and Health & Safety Barista Trained
