The Role
As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for supervising the Front Desk operations during your assigned shift to a consistently high standard in order to deliver exceptional customer service to Guests.
Your main duties include:
Advising your shift team of any special events or VIP Guests in the hotel
Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of receptionists with an emphasis on training and team work
Maximize sales revenues through up-selling
Manage Guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely
Assist with covering Duty Management during the day and to support with night coverage from time to time.
The Person
We look for receptionists with previous experience in a similar role who are absolutely committed to delivering exceptional customer service, a charismatic personality, and a natural flair for creating memorable experiences with all of our guests. You'll have a can-do attitude and be able to respond flexibly to different guest requests and situations. Finally, you'll have a good command of the English language and be very well presented.
Previous experience in a customer-focused industry
Positive attitude and good communication skills
Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
Excellent presentation grooming standards
Calm, efficient, and organised with great attention to detail
Ability to multi-task while maintaining a positive attitude when working with a Guest
Professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service
Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
Competent level of IT proficiency
The Hotel
Situated in the heart of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, with 228 bedrooms, including 11 suites, this period building has been beautifully restored to its former glory in a luxurious design to offer the ultimate in relaxation.
