We are seeking a skilled Fryer to join our team in a fast-paced takeaway environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Fryer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are cooked to perfection, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook various food items using deep frying techniques, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to deliver delicious meals efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Assist with meal preparation and other cooking tasks as needed, supporting fellow kitchen staff. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal food quality and safety. Help maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Experience

Previous experience as a fryer is essential. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is essential to ensure compliance in the kitchen. A background in culinary arts or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn and grow within the culinary profession. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are vital for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
