Duties

Prepare and cook various food items using frying equipment, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the cooking process. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as required. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked thoroughly and safely. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service during peak hours. Clean and maintain frying equipment, ensuring it is in good working order at all times. Help with inventory management by reporting stock levels of ingredients needed for meal preparation.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential, particularly in roles involving food preparation or cooking. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential. A background in culinary arts or related qualifications would be advantageous but not mandatory. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen setting are crucial for success in this role.
