Duties
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation
Develop and implement innovative menus in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs effectively
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and served promptly
Monitor kitchen operations during service hours, providing guidance and support as needed
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Previous experience working in restaurants or hospitality settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates
