About the Role





We're looking for someone who is a very organised and creative administrator with excellent people skills and the ability to work as part of a team and independently. The successful candidate should be interested in strategy and creating useful planning frameworks. The National Lottery Heritage Fund supported Defining a Decade project will refine and focus Sheffield Museums' ambition to become a progressive, resilient and sustainable organisation, rooted in the city. It will see Sheffield Museums build on its success to date, and continuing to enrich life in the city, connect people with their heritage and create welcoming and inspiring museum experiences for everyone. Key outputs include the development of:



A holistic organisational and estate masterplan Agile and realistic delivery plans A 5-year business plan.


As Project Officer, you will create planning and monitoring frameworks, lead on liaison with the National Lottery Heritage Fund, commission and review research, compile reports and deliver activities such as consultation events. You will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and external contractors to support this project.

About You





The successful candidate will have:

experience of coordinating largescale projects experience in managing relationships experience working collaboratively with colleagues and multi-disciplinary teams experience of working on a range of tasks to tight deadlines experience of building networks with communities and stakeholders high level of IT literacy excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously awareness of health and safety issues excellent research skills excellent written and verbal communication skills confident about developing effective relationships with internal colleagues, external and community agencies, contractors and partners an adaptable and pragmatic approach to work that supports the success of the organization flexible approach to working hours ability to work on own initiative and within a team highly motivated and quality conscious
