Cable & Splicing Services (CASS) is a telecommunications contracting specialist business established for over 25 years in UK. We are currently recruiting for experienced and accredited FTTP Installation Engineers for long term work in the West Midlands area. As an Installation Engineer, you will deploy fibre installation services within customer premises, providing a best-in-class quality of service for our clients. This could be either installing in the home or pre-enablement works. Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager and Field Support Manager, you will deliver a friendly, personable service at all times, as you will be dealing with members of the public in their homes and businesses. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone who can\xe2\x80\xa6.

• Install fibre into customer premises, business and residential, including splicing
• Assist the support team with troubleshooting techniques and queries
• Liaise by phone with the project office team to organise pre-installations, installations and arrange service calls

• Have fibre installation/splicing skills and experience
• Have a good understanding of fibre terminology and be able to communicate this effectively to customers as well as colleagues within the business
• Be well-presented and able to demonstrate a professional image as the face of the business
• Be able to demonstrate empathy with customers and colleagues - personable and friendly
• Be proactive and efficient, and willing to go the extra mile for customers
• Have the willingness to work in all climates

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Must have SA001, SA002,K8/S7, N27/S8 or equivalent

• IPAF 1b
• NRSWA unit 2
• Splicing and testing
• SMART AWARDS
• PIA experience desirable but not essential
• Previous experience working at height from a ladder and cabling from up to 11m telegraph poles
• Experience in lone working and health and safety requirements that are specific to working at height
• Practical experience in a customer-facing role
• Have a current driving license
• Clear DBS
