About the Role:

As EG Group continues to expand, we are seeking a Fuel Lead to join our fuel team. In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight, analysis, and management of wetstock (fuel) data at our retail fuel stations. This role involves monitoring fuel levels, identifying variances, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring accurate reconciliation of fuel data. You will work with remote monitoring systems, analyse data from various sources, and collaborate with field personnel and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and optimize operations.



Reporting into the Head of Fuel, this position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, resolve fuel management issues, and contribute to system optimizations.

What you'll be doing:

Continuously monitor fuel levels, alarms, and other data points from remote monitoring systems. Analyse data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues such as leaks, theft, or dispensing errors. Perform daily, monthly, and year-end wetstock reconciliations. Investigate variances and discrepancies within established timelines Troubleshoot remote communication issues, including modem and TCP/IP protocols. Provide technical support to field personnel and customers regarding wetstock management systems. Identify root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions. Generate and distribute regular reports to management and other stakeholders. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve wetstock management processes. Identify opportunities to optimize fuel delivery, storage, and dispensing operations. Responsible for leading and mentoring a team of wetstock analysts. Contribute to the development of new products or services

What we're looking for:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Data Analytics, Logistics, or a related field. QBE also accepted. Relevant certifications in Power BI, fuel management, logistics, or supply chain are an advantage. Fuel management, fuel analysis, or similar role experience are an advantage. Proven experience with Power BI in building dashboards, reports, and data models for business analysis. Strong knowledge of supply chains, distribution systems Stock management software experience is an advantage (e.g., Fairbanks, Tokheim) Expertise in Power BI: report building, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and visualization design. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting, including integration with Power BI. Strong analytical mindset with excellent data interpretation and visualization skills. Ability to present complex data clearly using Power BI dashboards and reports. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to report findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
