About the Role



We are seeking a talented Full Stack WordPress Developer to join our team in Canary Wharf, London. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining two WordPress sites, ensuring they remain secure, performant, and aligned with modern web standards. Key Responsibilities



Manage and maintain two WordPress websites, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch with a focus on modern, responsive design Create custom plugins tailored to specific business requirements Implement and customise WooCommerce solutions for e-commerce functionality Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions Optimise front-end performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility Implement modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks to provide custom functionality and enhance user experience Conduct regular site audits and implement improvements Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly Stay current with WordPress core updates, security patches, and industry best practices

Required Skills & ExperienceEssential Requirements



3-5 years of proven experience

as a Full Stack WordPress Developer

Strong portfolio

demonstrating custom WordPress theme and plugin development Extensive experience with

WooCommerce

development and customization Proficiency in PHP, including PHP best practices and WordPress coding standards Strong front-end development skills: Experience with modern libraries/frameworks (React, Vue.js, or similar) CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS) Build tools (Webpack, Gulp, or similar) Experience developing custom WordPress themes from scratch Ability to create custom plugins with clean, maintainable code Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, and APIs Experience with version control systems (Git) Knowledge of web performance optimisation techniques Understanding of SEO best practices Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable Skills



Experience with headless WordPress implementations Knowledge of REST API development Familiarity with modern development workflows and CI/CD pipelines Experience with page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg blocks) Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) Experience with multilingual WordPress sites Knowledge of server management and hosting environments

Working Arrangement
