Job Description

As a baker / driver, you will be joining our team of 8 to produce an exciting range of hand rolled bagels as well as our range of filled and glazed doughnuts alongside tray bakes, croissants & other baked goods.

We are an exciting young company that is focused on new product development as well as growing the company.

We currently have retail stores in Leamington Spa , Cheltenham, Oxford & Solihull. We also serve from our retail bakery based in Redditch too and Brunch from our sites in Leamington Spa, Banbury & Astwood Bank.

This is a fun and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person with a lot of passion to join a great small team with ideas for development of our current products.

Person specification

We are looking for a driven individual who is motivated by creating great results to enhance the product range and expand the business, although experience is not essential to be considered for this position you must meet the following requirements:

Be willing to learn Have a passion for food Enthusiasm for working as part of a team Desire to learn new techniques and recipes Able to work to deadlines Extensive understanding of EHO and Food Safety Standards Flexibility in regards to working hours
You must hold a full driving licence with a maximum of 3 penalty points, have held your licence for more than 3 years.

Working hours

You will be working 40 hours per week over 5 days. Your shift will usually start from 4.00am but this may change in line with the needs of the business. You will need to be flexible working shifts across 7 days.

Salary

Dependent on experience.

Where you'll be working

Our bakery is situated in Redditch, B98 7SE. Due to early start times your own transport will be required.

'The Steamhouse' is a vibrant bagel based company that bakes delicious, slow leavened bagels and incredible doughnuts for retail. Quantities are rising every week and new products are constantly researched and developed.
