About Us

We are a busy, traditional butchery and family run farm shop with a strong reputation for quality, locally sourced meat and exceptional customer service. We take pride in what we do and are looking for a motivated person to join our front of house team to help serve our customers and support the butchers behind the counter.

The Role

As a Butchery Assistant you will play an important role in delivering excellent service and keeping the counter running smoothly. You will work closely with our butchers and customers helping with everything from preparing orders to keeping displays looking their best.

Main duties include

:Serving customers with a friendly, polite attitude

:Preparing and packing meat to order under the guidance of the butchers

:Restocking the counter and ensuring the displays look appealing

:Labelling, pricing and weighing products accurately

:Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety

:Cleaning and sanitising counters, equipment and work areas

:Assisting with customer orders and collections

About You

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working as part of a team.

:Reliable and organised with a good attention to detail

:A team player who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in

:Keen to learn about butchery, local produce and food preparation

Experience in a butchery, deli or food retail environment is ideal, but not essential as full training will be given for the right person.

Hours

This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week and will include some weekend work
