Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Prepare a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee food production, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency
Manage food safety protocols and maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen
Coordinate with suppliers for ingredient procurement and inventory management
Assist in menu planning and development to meet customer preferences and seasonal trends
Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely
Support team management by training new staff and fostering a collaborative work environment
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Supervising experience within a culinary setting or hospitality environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
Experience in restaurant or hospitality sectors is highly desirable
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers
