We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in WORCESTER & DROITWICH . The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and managing kitchen operations efficiently. Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members to ensure smooth operations
Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours
Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in compliance with regulations
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
Develop new menu ideas in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Maintain a positive and professional working environment, fostering teamwork and high morale
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting, with strong kitchen experience
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and manage a diverse team effectively
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure during busy service periods
Leadership qualities combined with a passion for culinary excellence and innovation
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management
Previous experience in food production, hospitality, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
