Full time childcare worker needed preferably with nursery experience to work alongside a small team in a Outstanding Ofsted rated home based setting in Chiswick, West London.
Start date - September/October 2025
This role is full time , four or five days a week, Monday to Thursday (Friday if required by candidate) from 8am to 6pm, ( 1 hour lunch break unpaid). This is a permanent employed position, the starting rate of pay is 24,654 (for 4 days) to 30790 (for 5 days). As an employee you will be entitled to holiday pay and enrolled on a workplace pension scheme.
The ideal candidate should preferably have a childcare qualification and have worked in the sector. The candidate MUST be able to provide a clear enhanced DBS check on the update service (formerly CRB ) or be willing to obtain one. Can provide two good childcare references (written and verbal). The applicant must be willing to undertake a paediatric first aid course, has a right to live and work in the UK and provide evidence of this.
The role and responsibilities will include - To assist in all childminding related daily duties based indoor and outdoors with a strong emphasis on keeping children safe and ensuring they have lots of fun. To be friendly, approachable and professional to parents/carers who visit and who drop/collect their children. To be able to work as part of a team and contribute effectively in terms of enhancing the provision, promoting and sharing ideas with work colleagues. To assist in planning and setting out of equipment to meet children's current interests and development stages. To play under supervision alongside the children, to observe their play and development and to record any significant achievements. To assist getting the setting ready in the morning and helping to tidying up during and after play activities where necessary and to keep children safe. To assist with snack and mealtime supervisions. To assist with meeting all the individual needs of the children being cared with an emphasis on promoting children's health and well being, To be unsupervised for a maximum of 2 hours per day when needed. To be aware of and to adhere to the setting's policies at all times.
The successful candidate will need - To Live within 3 miles of the location or have easy access to place of work. To have proven successful experience of working with children. Childcare qualification and knowledge of the EYFS is desirable - further training may be available. Must be able to work as part of a small team and also unsupervised using own initiative and common sense. Be punctual and have good organisational skills.
