THIS VACANCY IS FOR BUSY BEES NURSERY SCHOOL IN BECK ROW, NEAR MILDENHALL (IP28 8AA) NOT IN BURY ST EDMUNDS

Position: Deputy Room Leader/ Early Years Practitioner

Hours:

42 hours per week over 4 days (not working on Thursdays)

Classroom: 3 year room

Requirements

-

Must have a relevant Level 3 or above specific Early Years/Childcare qualification which is listed on the DFE relevant qualifications list, and have at least three years experience of working within a nursery setting. Leadership skills are preferable but not essential.

- Must have a good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and OFSTED requirements

- Must be I.T. literate

- Must work well as part of a team

- Must be confident in leading a team in the room leaders absence

- Must be fully committed to working with children and how they learn and develop

- Must have bundles of enthusiasm, and a good sense of fun!

- Must have a love of the great outdoors

Duties

- To be responsible for a key group of children, ensuring their individual needs are met, and update the children's learning journals via Tapestry

- To be supportive of the Room Leader and other staff working within the room, and to put forward ideas and suggestions within the classroom and setting

- To take on the room leaders responsibilities in her absence

- To contribute to providing a fun, safe and secure environment
