We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery driving and a solid understanding of vehicle mechanics. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Duties

Operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to transport goods to designated locations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policies Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type being operated Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge of vehicles is an asset, enabling effective troubleshooting when necessary Experience working in a warehouse setting is beneficial Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients effectively Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism
