We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle safety inspections in accordance with legal standards, ensuring vehicles meet required safety and environmental regulations. Duties

Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models, adhering strictly to legal and safety standards Inspect vehicle components including brakes, tyres, lights, suspension, and exhaust systems Record detailed inspection results and communicate findings clearly to customers Maintain accurate documentation of all tests performed in compliance with regulatory requirements Assist with general vehicle maintenance tasks as required Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained regularly to guarantee accuracy and safety standards are met

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for inspection and minor repairs Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicles or parts during inspections Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance Good organisational skills to manage multiple inspections efficiently Ability to work independently whilst maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism
