We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our friendly multi award winning independent small animal practice on a 1-year fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. We are a large and busy 24hr First Opinion Practice with separate Canine and Feline facilities and a large surgical case load. We provide the Out Of Hours (OOH) service for 3 other practices and our nights are mainly covered by our dedicated night team, however all nurses are expected to partake in the OOH rota if required.

Under the support of the Head Nurse and Deputy, we use our Nurses to their full potential undertaking Nursing consults, Nurse driven op days, Patient care, Dentistry, Imaging, including our new CT suit as well as regular social events outside of work. The candidate should be aware of the pressures within the working day. While the standard is a 40-hour, 4-day week (plus rotating weekend duties), we are highly flexible and open to discussing various working hour arrangements to suit the right candidate.

Requirements

Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) and be registered with the RCVS. Veterinary experience: at least 2 years Exceptional communication skill An interest in progressing skills Flexibility to fit the needs of the team
Salary: 32,000 per year DOE
