Job Overview

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their needs, providing product information, and ensuring the store is well-presented. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage your time efficiently will contribute to the overall success of our retail team. Some weekend working is required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products. Provide detailed product information and answer customer queries. Fit riding helmets, footwear and body protectors. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain an organised and visually appealing merchandise display. Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system. Ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times. Manage time effectively to balance customer service with merchandising tasks. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries over the phone.

Requirements

Strong communication skills in English. Excellent equestrian knowledge. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels. Computer literate. Physically fit enough to lift up to 25kg bags of feed. Proven organisational skills to maintain an orderly work environment. Experience in merchandising is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy retail setting. Full driving licence and own transport. Able to work weekends. A friendly disposition with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
