Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and personable Sales Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, assisting clients with their purchases, and maintaining an organised sales environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable sales skills within a supportive and professional setting. Prior experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, approachable, and eager to contribute to the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with product selection Handing telephone enquiries Monitoring and updating our website Offer knowledgeable advice on products and services to meet customer needs Process transactions accurately using the till system and handle cash or card payments Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure an attractive shopping environment Restock and organise displays regularly to promote products effectively Handle customer enquiries promptly and professionally, resolving issues where possible Keep the sales area clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times Support stock management activities including receiving deliveries and inventory checks

About You

Approachable, friendly, and confident manner Sales experience preferred but not essential Comfortable dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone Well organised with a positive attitude Reliable and willing to learn

Experience

Previous experience in retail or customer service is desirable but not mandatory Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative Organised with good attention to detail and the ability to multitask during busy periods Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends if required Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
