Calderglen House is a leading residential rehab facility within Scotland and are pleased to announce the opening of our sister Residential rehab in Symington, South Ayrshire.

Townend house

will accommodate up to 24 residents, offering high-quality facilities and focuses on a person-centred approach to support individuals on their recovery journey. This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults.

The Role



As an

Addiction Rehab Support Worker

, you will play a key role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide emotional, practical, and therapeutic support to residents helping them to develop coping skills, access community resources, and achieve personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide one-to-one support to individuals in recovery. Assist in facilitating group work and psychoeducation sessions. Encourage and support participation in 12-step fellowship meetings and community recovery activities. Support residents with daily living skills, health, and wellbeing. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, counsellors, and social workers. Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with organisational policies. Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment.

About You



We're looking for someone who is empathetic, resilient, and passionate about helping others make positive life changes.

Essential Criteria:



Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people affected by addiction, homelessness, or mental health issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Shift patterns include day shifts and night shifts, covering weekdays and weekends.

Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles.

Desirable:



Member of SSSC or willing to register. SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it). Knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, psychoeducation, and recovery models. Familiarity with the 12-step approach or similar peer-support frameworks.
