Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, using basic math skills to process transactions. Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Assist in food preparation when necessary, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and communication.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality principles. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is essential. Basic culinary skills or kitchen experience would be advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Strong guest service orientation with the ability to create a positive dining atmosphere. Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a friendly rapport with guests.
