  • Understanding of web application security
  • Experience working with Linux on the Microsoft Azure platform
  • Degree (or equivalent Level 6 qualification) in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics or other technical subject (desirable but not essential)
What will I be doing?

You will be reporting into the team manager responsible for our SAMS structural health monitoring application. You will be:
  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient Python code within the Django framework
  • Working with the development team to advance the overall architecture design of the application
  • Integrating of user-facing elements with server-side logic
  • Talking with our engineering experts, implementation project managers, and key customers to understand requirements and obtain feedback
  • Performance tuning, software improvement, bug fixing, and task automation.
  • Integrating data acquisition from a range of sensors into application
  • Assisting with production deployment within our automated release pipelines
  • Carrying out developer level quality assurance tasks: code review and unit testing
  • Researching new technologies that can be used to enhance future versions of our application
We are a relatively small team tasked with providing innovation and robust solutions. To succeed, this role demands someone with passion for their work who is able communicate with ease both with our operations and delivery teams as well as colleagues on the SAMS team.
