Solent Airport at Daedalus is a growing and developing Airport. A number of improvement projects are underway. We are recruiting an assistant to join an already established operations team who have a reputation for a high standard of customer focus.
Responsibilities: -
The successful candidate will be friendly and out-going and join as a member of the Airport Operations team, providing Rescue and Fire-Fighting Services (RFFS), refuelling duties, organising customer's requirements and looking after them on arrival, staffing the reception desk, and other operational support services as required by the Airport Manager.
The job role is summarised as;
To provide excellent customer service at all times.
Enter and maintain data on airport operational systems.
To provide all customer services in support of airport operational requirements, including collection of fees and processing of charges associated with the airport.
Liaising with the general public, general aviation visitors and corporate visitors
To conduct all additional airport operational duties including Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and runway inspections, aircraft handling, and access control/site security.
To ensure that safety is given the highest priority at all times in regard to operations at Solent Airport and to comply with the company safety management policy and practices.
To carry out duties to support the airport safeguarding requirements.
To ensure activities on the airport are conducted safely and compliant with the Airport Operations Manual.
To effectively liaise as required with outside agencies, contractors and tenants.
To participate in an effective Bird Control Policy for the Airport including using the bird scaring pistol.
To attend relevant regulatory or licensing related meetings as required.
To conduct aircraft refuelling duties, IAW JIG4 and local procedures.
Requirements:
A clean driving licence is essential, ideally with Class C
Previous experience of working in a customer focused role, ideally with RFFS or refuelling experience
Comfortable in all Microsoft programs, with the ability to learn in-house systems
