Job Summary:
We are looking to employ an HSEQ Assistant to oversee the day-to-day H&S as well as coordinate a variety of Environmental projects and support with compliance and training records.
This role will appeal to individuals with an interest in Health & Safety, environmental initiatives, and the compliance of management systems. Strong administrative and organisational skills are essential; however, full training will be provided where necessary.
Key Skills and Attributes:
Previous experience in a similar HSEQ or administrative role (preferably in facilities or cleaning services).
Knowledge of HSEQ compliance and best practices.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
IOSH certification (desirable but not essential).
Must be able to prioritise and multi-task a range of differing tasks.
Work as part of a team and independently
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordination of Health and Safety Documents and Policies
Compiling and sending out Site Packs and keeping records of these
Reviewing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Coshh Assessments
Logging of Accidents and carrying out Accident investigations where needed.
Carrying out Site Audits/sub-contractor work (checking on procedures and identifying risks)
Managing and maintaining H&S Documentation and records/logs.
Co-ordinating H&S training
Manage and maintain the maintenance log for equipment and oversee the PAT testing records.
Managing the Asset Register
Coordinating Environmental projects
Support with the organisation of Charity and volunteering events
Taking part in meetings for ESG and H&S with both clients and staff
Support with the management of training and maintaining training records
Data gathering for Carbon Footprint calculation
Collect and analyse data to evidence ESG progress
Support with ISO 9001 and ISO14001 audit preparation
Experience in Health & Safety in business
Qualifications:
Desired:
Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH
Willing to take this training if not already qualified or qualification has expired.
