Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are seeking a

dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

to join our supportive team, working across two pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Role Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 support for: A

Reception child

who is

non-verbal and has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

. A

Year 4 child

with

learning difficulties and a hearing impairment

. Assist in implementing personalised learning plans to support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to ensure effective support strategies. Facilitate inclusion within the classroom and across school activities. Use specialised communication strategies and resources, particularly for the non-verbal pupil.

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience supporting children with complex needs

, especially non-verbal pupils and those with ASD. Strong understanding of inclusive practices and differentiated teaching strategies. Experience or knowledge in supporting children with hearing impairments is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach to supporting learning and development. Relevant qualifications in supporting children with special educational needs (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate, SEN qualifications) are advantageous.
