We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Leisure Professional to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about promoting an active lifestyle and have a strong background in sports coaching or teaching. The Leisure Professional will be responsible for delivering engaging leisure activities, fostering a positive environment, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants.

Responsibilities

Plan, organise, and lead a variety of leisure activities and programmes tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Provide instruction and coaching in various sports, ensuring participants develop their skills in a supportive environment. Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages participation, teamwork, and personal growth among all attendees. Monitor the safety of participants during activities, responding promptly to any incidents or emergencies. Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure they are safe, clean, and well-organised. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance programme offerings and improve participant experiences. Keep accurate records of attendance and participant progress, providing feedback as necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with individuals of all ages. A passion for promoting health, fitness, and well-being through leisure activities. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. First Aid certification is an advantage but not essential; training can be provided. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
