Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, hardworking and versatile individual to join our team as a waiter/waitress at our welcoming pub with guest accommodation. This dual-role position involves serving food and drinks to customers in a fast paced pub environment while also assisting with the cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent customer skills and a strong attention to detail. You must be comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends. Experience in hospitality or housekeeping is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and friendly attitude. Take accurate food and beverage orders while providing recommendations and upselling menu items. Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to tables, maintaining high standards of presentation. Serve drinks confidently behind the bar. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and bar. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards during food preparation and serving. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and communication regarding orders. Process payments accurately and efficiently while handling cash or card transactions. Clean and service guest rooms to a high standard, including changing bed linen and cleaning bathrooms

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food safety practices and culinary knowledge is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Basic math skills for processing bills and handling transactions accurately. Excellent communication skills to engage with guests effectively and provide top-notch service.

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
