We are seeking a qualified and experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264 and managing asbestos risks across a range of domestic, commercial, and industrial properties. You will ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and provide clear, accurate survey reports to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct
Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition Surveys
in line with HSG264.
Identify and sample suspected ACMs (Asbestos Containing Materials) on-site.
Record and assess the condition of asbestos materials using handheld devices or manual forms.
Produce clear, accurate, and timely survey reports.
Ensure compliance with
Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012
and company procedures.
Maintain and calibrate survey and safety equipment.
Liaise with clients and project teams to ensure clear communication of findings and recommendations.
Follow site health and safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
Requirements:
BOHS P402 qualification
(or RSPH equivalent) - Essential* Minimum
1-2 years
of practical asbestos surveying experience.
Strong knowledge of asbestos types, uses, and associated risks.
Valid
UK driving license
- Required for site travel* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with report-writing software and handheld data collection tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of health and safety.
