Job Description

We are seeking a fully qualified electrician to join our growing team based in County Donegal. The role involves a mix of commercial and domestic work throughout Donegal and Ireland (travel expenses covered). The ideal candidate is a certified electrician (qualified to work in Ireland) who can work independently on installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for a variety of clients. Key Responsibilities

Electrical Installation & Maintenance: Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial buildings and domestic properties. Includes wiring, lighting, power distribution, and panel board work according to Ireland's national standards (ETCI wiring rules). Solar PV & Battery Systems: Lead in the installation and commissioning of solar PV panels and battery storage systems. Training provided if needed. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose electrical faults, carry out repairs or replacements of components, and ensure minimal downtime. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to Safe Electric guidelines. Complete electrical test certifications for installations. Follow strict safety practices including PPE, lock-out/tag-out, and Safe Pass compliance. Teamwork & Travel: Work independently and as part of a team. Countrywide travel with a particular focus on Donegal; all travel time, subsistence, and accommodation covered. Planning & Leadership: Help plan installations and organise a growing team. The ideal candidate will take on responsibility and grow into a leadership role as we scale the business. Required Qualifications & Skills

Fully Qualified Electrician: FETAC/QQI Level 6 National Craft Certificate (Electrical) or equivalent. Certified to work in Ireland. Certifications: Valid Safe Pass card and up-to-date Manual Handling. Working at Heights is a plus. Testing & Inspecting: Preferred (training can be provided if needed) - must be confident in certifying installations. Safe Electric Registration: Candidate must be eligible for or already registered with Safe Electric Ireland (via RECI or ECSSA). This includes holding the required qualifications (training can be provided if needed) and having completed the Verification & Certification of Electrical Installations module. SEAI Solar PV Installer Requirements: Candidate should either meet or be willing to meet SEAI's requirements for solar PV installation, which include Safe Electric registration, insurance compliance, and completion of an SEAI-recognised solar PV training course. (training can be provided if required) Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years post-qualification in commercial/domestic electrical projects. Skill Set: Diagnostic and problem-solving skills; can read and interpret schematics. Driver's License: Preferred but not essential. Travel support provided. Work Authorization: Eligible to work in Ireland. Attributes: Professional, self-motivated, strong work ethic.
