where day-to-day duties will vary depending on project requirements.
The successful candidate will carry out electrical works while also supporting the wider team with a range of general building and maintenance tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, is hands-on, and takes pride in being a strong team player. All work must be carried out safely and in compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate tools and techniques.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
Ensure all electrical work complies with current regulations, codes, and safety standards.
Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
Assist with
non-electrical works
as required, including (but not limited to) roofing works, groundworks, plumbing assistance, gutter cleaning, and general site duties.
Support urgent call-outs when required.
Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and project managers to complete jobs on time and within budget.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
Skills & Requirements
Qualified and experienced electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards.
Proficient with hand tools (pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, multimeters) and power tools (drills, saws, cable cutters).
Willingness and ability to learn new skills and assist across multiple trades.
Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work -- no two days will be the same.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage varied tasks.
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
