Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Functional Consultant - HR based in Watford. This role is based in the HR workstream of the IT Business Relationship Management & Solution Design team and we are looking for someone with HR application and design experience who is able to work on projects that could impact any of the HR capabilities.



Ideally candidates will have experience of working with various stakeholders and project sponsors to deliver successful HR solutions. The main responsibilities of the role will be: analysing HR business processes, gathering requirements, leading the solution design and implementation of key HR IT projects, coordinating with our partner teams on configuration, build, testing, and training, and being a key IT point of contact for Ricoh HR teams. As part of this role, travel across Europe may also be required.



The Functional Consultant is a hybrid role of functional and technical skills, and will assist in expanding and refining system requirements, design and implementation of system changes to support process improvements and providing information to support key decisions and recommendations to executive management on current and future business area processes and policies.

What you will be doing


Take ownership for the impacts of the projects they are aligned to - they could be solely in the HR area or they could be E2E, cross workstream projects ensuring that project objectives for design, implementation, data migration and testing are met. Business requirement gathering and analysis, bridging the gap between our HR functional teams and technical internal and external stakeholders to ensure these requirements and business needs are clearly understood, documented and translated into functional designs, and met. Communicate with senior management and SMEs to understand system and process requirements and challenges and then work together with our technical implementation partner to identify the optimal system and process solution to these business requirements. Work as part of a cross workstream scrum team - the teams will be made up of SMEs from each workstream who can deliver solution design, functional design, build, testing approach, operational transition, post go live support Own the documentation of system configuration, design and processes for their project areas. They should also ensure that training documentation is accurate and up to date. Lead internal up-skilling sessions with our IT Application Engineering teams to ensure that they understand new functionality and are able to respond to support tickets from the business. Ownership for the documentation of any data migration processes, and monitoring and reviewing of the data migration team to ensure that they are following the processes, and to assist in resolving any issues that arise. Support testing and implementing application changes to achieve gathered business realisations through optimal end-to-end processes with controlled risk. Identify continuous improvement opportunities with systems and processes, document and obtain senior management approval for the changes and co-ordinate with our partner teams to deliver them. Stakeholder Management - act as a liaison between HR, IT, and partners to ensure smooth project delivery and continuous improvement.

You will ideally have


Ideally candidates will have a proven background and experience working in an IT/systems HR role, with any experience of working within a business HR function would be an advantage but not essential Successful candidates will ideally have strong knowledge of HR processes and capabilities and be able to demonstrate the ability to analyse and understand data and information quickly. Use information, insights and knowledge in a structured way to recommend options backed by logic including benefits for Ricoh Europe. Candidates with an understanding of HR localisation regulatory requirements in a number of European countries would be preferred. Ideally candidates will be focused to deliver and able to demonstrate determination, purpose, and resourcefulness to deliver the best results for the organisation Previous experience of working with HR applications such as SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, ADP and any experience using workflow applications such as ServiceNow and SharePoint is highly advantageous, but not essential. Candidates with demonstrated project management capability is preferred, including use of project management methodologies and approaches, such as Agile. Successful candidates will have the ability to communicate concisely, clearly and effectively across functions (technical and non-technical) and cultures, and to senior stakeholders. Fluency in English both verbal and written is essential for this role with any second language skills, specifically across French, Spanish or German being highly useful but not essential.
