We are seeking an

experienced Functional Maths Tutor

to support learners in the workplace through

small group delivery

. This role focuses on helping adult learners build confidence and achieve

Functional Skills Maths qualifications with City & Guilds

.

The Role:

Deliver Functional Skills Maths sessions to small groups of learners in the workplace Support learners working towards

City & Guilds Functional Skills Maths (Entry, Level 1 and Level 2)

Embed maths into real-world and job-related contexts Track learner progress, provide feedback, and prepare learners for assessment Support learner confidence, engagement, and successful achievement

About the Qualification:

Functional Skills Maths qualifications awarded by

City & Guilds

are nationally recognised and designed to develop practical maths skills for work and everyday life.
Achievement is through

externally set and quality-assured assessments

, with

Level 2 widely recognised as equivalent to GCSE Grade 4 (C)

for many employment and apprenticeship routes.

What We're Looking For:

Experience delivering Functional Maths or numeracy support Ability to engage and motivate adult learners in small groups Strong communication and interpersonal skills Teaching qualification and maths qualification Experience in workplace or apprenticeship delivery (desirable)
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 6 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Stoke-on-Trent ST4 4RJ
