We are seeking an experienced FuSa Base Software Engineer to support the design, implementation, and validation of safety mechanisms at the microcontroller level for high-integrity embedded systems. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 and ASPICE standards across the full software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
?Design and implement
safety mechanisms
for base software platforms at the microprocessor level
?Interpret and apply
microcontroller/chip safety manuals
to guide software architecture and diagnostics
?Develop and maintain
low-level software
for real-time embedded systems in safety-critical environments
?Ensure compliance with
ISO 26262 Part 6
and support full
ASPICE V-cycle
software delivery
?Collaborate with system architects, hardware engineers, and safety managers to define and validate safety concepts
?Conduct
code reviews
,
unit testing
, and
integration testing
with traceability to safety requirements
?Support safety analysis activities including
SW-FMEA
,
fault injection
, and
diagnostic coverage assessment
Required Skills & Experience
?5+ years of experience in base software development for
real-time embedded systems
?Strong understanding of
functional safety principles
and
safety lifecycle processes
?Proficient in
C programming
, with experience in
low-level drivers
,
bootloaders
, and
hardware abstraction layers
?Familiarity with
Infineon Tricore TC3xx
,
ADI wireless BMS
,
NXP FS65 SBC
, and
Elektrobit AUTOSAR stack
?Experience with
safety-related software architectures
, watchdogs, memory protection, and error handling
?Working knowledge of
configuration management
,
requirements traceability
, and
static analysis tools
Preferred Qualifications
?Exposure to
ASIL-D
software development and
