EET Group is proud to present this exciting opportunity for a competent Functional Skills and Digital Skills Tutor to join our team, undertaking formal scheduled teaching and provide high quality, relevant learning opportunities which enable learners to maximise their development and improve their job skills. This role is key to supporting, guiding and training learners by delivering digital skills training with the aim of improving their chances of gaining sustainable employment.

Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Teaching and Learning Manager, you will be responsible for delivering training in the readiness to progress onto further learning, an apprenticeship or employment.
We are looking for a strong Functional Skills and Digital Skills Tutor with previous experience in handling administrative work of a considerable variety/volume and prioritising successfully under pressure.
Teach and assess Level 2 Digital Skills to learners via ASF Funding
Teach and support Functional Skills apprentices to gain their Level 2 Functional Skills qualification
To devise a programme of learning (scheme of work) with appropriate effective teaching and learning strategies, resources and assessments.
To have a creative approach to engage with learners.
Establish precise learning objectives, content, and clear learning outcomes for all teaching undertaken.
To support learners to access appropriate learning programmes using a range of diagnostic tools and assessments methods.
To build relationships with learners and through support and advice help them address any barriers to learning.
Develop, deliver and assess programme units for a range of programmes.
Develop appropriate learning styles and delivery methods which meet the needs of the learner.
To keep learners' records, including initial assessment and Learning Agreement records.
To ensure that quality assurance processes are implemented and robustly complied with.
To work with learners on a one to one or group basis as appropriate.
To maintain attendance registers, records of progress and ensure learners are correctly enrolled and awarding bodies.
Engage in analysis data and target setting to raise standards of retention and achievement.
To accurately maintain relevant IT and administrative systems and produce accurate and timely management information.
To ensure awareness and adherence to health and safety, safeguarding and GDPR legislation and company procedures.
To be respectful and treat others with dignity, being aware of equality and diversity within the workplace at all times.
To take accountability of deadlines and targets set by the line manager and ensure that they are met as set.
Undertake other such duties as requested which are reasonable and appropriate to the role.
Requirements
Experience
To be successful you should be knowledgeable of different career paths and committed to helping clients achieve their employment-related objectives in Digital and IT Skills, and Functional Skills.
Experience in:
Delivery engaging training in digital skills and functional skills
Offering a high standard of customer service
Working with unemployed people to improve their employment prospects
Completing face to face interview and completing personal action plans
Providing advice and guidance to others with the aim of progressing them towards employment
Liaising with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Delivering support on confidence & motivation and CV writing
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels of an organisation with tact and diplomacy
Ability to complete paperwork in line with contractual requirements where appropriate
Ability to audit and monitor electronic records
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to multiple deadlines
An excellent standard of verbal communication
The ability to work with trust and autonomy
To display strong motivational, customer service and organisational skills
To be competent in the use of technology with excellent IT skills, including Office 365 and learning management system
To be an enthusiastic and flexible team player with high expectations of self and others
To have strong listening, persuading and influencing skills
