We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Functional Skills English and Maths Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves providing personalised instruction, fostering a supportive learning environment, and adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of apprentices.

Duties

Inspire and support learners in achieving their English and Maths skills remotely. Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement. Communicate effectively with employers and apprentices about performance and areas for growth. Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes learning and confidence.

Experience

Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is essential, with a focus on creating effective learning experiences. Experience working with apprenticeships is highly desirable. Strong communication skills are crucial for conveying information clearly and building rapport . A background in apprenticeships or a related field will be an advantage, alongside relevant qualifications.

Qualifications:

Must have Level 2 functional skills in English and Maths, plus teaching and assessor qualifications.
