We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Functional Skills Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans focused on functional skills tailored to diverse student needs Deliver engaging instruction that promotes active learning and skill acquisition Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to support student development Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress reports Incorporate innovative teaching methods and educational technology to enhance learning experiences Support students in applying functional skills in real-life contexts to promote independence

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher; university experience is highly desirable Prior experience teaching or working with students in an educational setting Strong understanding of functional skills curriculum and instructional strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create an inclusive, motivating classroom environment Commitment to student success and continuous professional development Certification or licensure in education is preferred but not mandatory
