Our client are one of Europe's leading private credit firms, managing and advising approximately $18 billion of capital
We are seeking an experienced Fund Controller to join our London office. This is a key role responsible for the oversight of fund accounting and NAV production for our open-ended fund structures. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between the Luxembourg AIFM and the appointed fund administrators, ensuring accurate and timely NAVs and robust operational governance.
This role will also involve oversight responsibilities for closed-ended fund structures, offering the opportunity to work across a variety of investment vehicles.
The ideal candidate would need to be a strong team player, be flexible, highly motivated, have good attention to detail, strong Excel skills and have excellent communication skills. Experience with private credit is preferred.

About the role
Oversight of Fund Administrators

  • Supervise and review the performance of third-party fund administrators in relation to NAV production for open-ended private credit funds, ensuring timely and accurate calculations
NAV Review & Validation
  • Independently review and challenge Monthly NAVs, including reviewing portfolio valuation, accurate and timely booking of portfolio transactions, fee calculations, fee accruals, swing pricing policy, and reviewing share class returns.
Distributions calculations
  • Calculating quarterly distributions for distributing share classes, liaising with Treasury for timely hedging, and instructing the administrator on distribution bookings and processing.
Stakeholder management
  • Be the key internal contact to respond to queries from management, investors and potential investors on the fund.
Reporting
  • Work closely with the Performance and Investor Relations teams on monthly fact-sheets and performance insights. Ensure the fund portal has accurate data and assist in the development of an internal dashboard with live fund metrics.
Oversight on Financial Reporting
  • Review the quarterly financial statements prepared by the administrators, ensuring they are reconciled to approved NAVs, and are produced to a high standard. Validate with the Conducting Officer the financial statements prior to being sent to the fund's board for approval.
Audit liaison
  • Be a key internal contact for the audit of the open ended funds, liaising with both the administrator and the auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
Support for Closed-Ended Funds
  • Assist with the quarterly oversight of fund accounting and NAV production of Luxembourg closed-ended structures.
Fees and costs oversight
  • Review fee schedules for new funds and ensure they are aligned to the AIFM's fee matrix. Monitor on an ongoing basis the fees and costs charged to funds, ensuring they as agreed per the fund documents and there are no undue costs charged to the funds.
Requirements
  • Degree in any of the following: accounting and finance, computer sciences IT engineering, mathematics.
  • 5+ years of experience in fund accounting, NAV oversight, or fund administration, with significant exposure to open-ended fund structures
  • ACA or ACCA-qualified
  • Strong understanding of private credit
  • Familiarity with Luxembourg regulatory environment, including CSSF requirements and AIFMD
  • Experience working with monthly-dealing funds and knowledge of liquidity management and investor dealing processes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Fluent written and spoken English
