The Fund Services Associate (Fund Regulatory) will support the team leaders and help oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Partners Capital private fund of funds, or pooled vehicles. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in fund accounting, reporting, and/or fund operations for fund of funds, private equity and/or hedge funds. The successful applicant should have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and be ready for wide ranging responsibilities, including project management and third-party relationship management. Candidates will be expected to be agile in coordinating with various teams across the firm to contribute to the firm's continued success.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Oversee key regulatory reporting functions and processes for $18 billion+ AUM within 80+ multi-asset class pooled vehicles. Act as a project coordinator for strategic and tactical operations projects to support the rapidly growing firm and team, with a focus on automation and data management. Support the client and research teams through review and approval of accounting reports prepared by third party providers, including but not limited to financial statements, K-1s, and tax estimates. Oversee and manage third-party relationships with fund auditors, tax providers, and valuation agents, ensuring all regulatory deadlines are met, and service issues are resolved in a timely manner or appropriately escalated to senior management. Support process build out of new fund tax reporting in Europe based on client requirements. Uphold a strong operational control environment through maintaining checklists and support files, proactively investigating issues to root cause and holding service providers to the highest standard of timeliness and quality. Lead on pooled vehicle related communications and interactions with the global firm and third-party providers. Demonstrate a strong understanding of our team processes and act as the "information hub" of the organisation and serve as a brand ambassador for the firm through management of ad hoc queries and requests. Collaborate with other teams and service providers to research and problem solve to meet new and existing client needs with a focus on eliminating redundancies and exceeding industry standards. Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by helping others learn. Support the recruiting process as the team continues to expand.

Key responsibilities may be assessed and are subject to change from time to time based on the needs of the business. The individual may be required to work overtime as needed.


Qualifications / Attributes


As a fast-growing, 350+ person company, we seek someone who is dynamic, detail oriented, driven and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once. The candidate must possess an outstanding track record of accomplishments and strong interpersonal and communication skills.


Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related area with a strong academic background, is preferred. Approximately 2+ years' experience working in audit or tax of private funds or fund of funds, preferably in public accounting. Strong understanding of operations of hedge funds, private equity funds, and registered funds. Familiarity with relevant reporting standards, including but not limited to US and Lux GAAP or IRS and HMRC tax regimes. General knowledge of various financial products and investment strategies. Excellent attention to detail and comfort with data analysis and strong technical acumen, specifically in Microsoft Excel. Power BI is a plus. Highly motivated and proactive, anticipates what should be done to solve a problem, improve a process, and mitigate risk. Excellent organisational and time management skills, and strong project management skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take responsibility for all aspects of a task. Team player who is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial company. Comfortable receiving and providing feedback.
