Our client is a boutique infrastructure investment group that manages long term investment in public-private projects. They currently have two funds that are in their yield phase with around \xc2\xa32bn of capital at work and typically they look to hold their assets for c. 25 years.

Description

They are looking to hire a Financial Controller to be responsible for both the corporate and fund accounting functions within the business as well as other ad-hoc finance / office matters. Juniors are responsible for the preparation and the FC will review this information though given the nature of the small team, is expected get involved in all levels of reporting.

The company is around 30 people who have all worked together for a long period of time and they take a long term, sustainable approach to hiring.

In gaining exposure to both the corporate and fund accounting aspects of the business, this is a great platform on the route to FD / CFO for junior candidates.

Skills

• Accounting, tax, and administration of the main corporate entities within the group.
• Preparation of monthly management information.
• Treasury management, day to day oversight of the bank accounts.
• Accounting, tax, and administration of the fund and its related corporate entities.
• Calculation of the waterfall / distribution calculations.
• Liaison with internal and external stakeholders in relation to other investment matters.
• General investor relation queries.
• Development and monitoring of processes and procedures.
• Other operational matters; including company secretarial, IT and general office management tasks.
• Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
• Experience of working in a finance function within the fund management space.
• At least 3-5 years post qualified experience.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Intellectually curious.
• Team player.

This is a full time, office-based role with 5 days on site. The compensation is around \xc2\xa390,000 - \xc2\xa3110,000 (plus bonus and other benefits) dependent on level of experience.
