This is an exciting new role to build a powerful fundraising and corporate partnership programme that will generate vital unrestricted income to help grow the ability of Reading FC Community Trust to make a difference within our community.
Reporting directly to the Community Trust Manager, the role will be an important member of the Senior Management Team.
We are at an exciting point of growth for the charity, and we are looking for someone who can develop new sources of unrestricted income through new sponsorships, fundraising, and events
Hours of Work
35 Hours per week (Full-time)
Main Duties
General
Working with the Community Manager and Senior Management Team to develop and implement an organisation fundraising strategy and achieve income targets
Keep up to date with sector knowledge regarding fundraising techniques,
resources and donor trends
Promote RFCCT at internal and external events, presentations and conferences as required
Provide detailed reporting for the management and the RFCCT Board of Trustees
Be the key point of contact for Trust fundraising activities and events via phone, email and face-to-face engagements
Developing Corporate Partnerships
Identify corporate and funding partner opportunities for existing and new programmes within the Trust
Work closely with the football club commercial team to identify explore new partnership opportunities
Develop partner relationships with corporate and funding partners, maximising the opportunities and building sustainable working
Maintain existing corporate partnerships
Community Fundraising
Deliver and coordinate key fundraising events and activities to ensure growth of the organisation
Recruit and manage volunteers to support delivery of community fundraising events
Work with Marketing to develop engaging social media posts promoting events and activities
Carry out post-event evaluation sand review with the wider staff team
Individual Giving
Work with our Community and Engagements Officer to increase our supporter base raising the profile of the charity and increase income generation opportunities as well as developing case studies and reports for funders and partners
Attend all Trust and club partner events, including fundraisers, business clubs, and local community events to encourage support amongst new audiences, ensuring successful set up running and pack down
Provide reports to all donors/sponsors with detailed impact stories that demonstrate the value of their financial support
Ensure regulatory legal compliance and best practice, keeping and developing accurate mailing/donor lists in line with GDPR regulations and that all risks associated with events are effectively mitigated

Essential
Good standard of education including high level of literacy and numeracy
Current driving license and use of own car

Degree in related subject
In-date DBS certificate (or willingness to undertake)
Experience

Experience of engaging new corporate partners and
maintaining positive relationships.
A proven track record of fundraising with evidenced increase in income achieved, particularly through events and partnerships
Ability to build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders and our team
Proven track record of business development leading to significant income growth

Experience of working in diverse communities and an understanding of the barriers these communities may face in accessing fundraising opportunities
