An exciting role to manage and grow George Eliot Hospital's Trust's Charity, leading the delivery of the Trust's Fundraising Strategy to maximise revenue. Covering all departments within the Trust you will be fundraising for specialist equipment, enhanced furnishings and projects to improve patient experience.



This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant team and be instrumental in the delivery of a transformative strategy and raise capital and revenue funds.



Ideally you will have a background of proven success within donor engagement and retention. You will have managed a fundraising function, designed and delivered exceptional supporter journeys and have experience in public facing fundraising roles.



As a proven manager you will be responsible for the d ay-to-day leadership and management of the fundraising team and ensuring the effective running of the Trust's charitable arm. You will act as the link between the Trust's charity, local people and the local business community.



Managing community engagement and event programmes that maximise charitable income and raise awareness of how local people can support the Trust and our patients.

Be accountable for the delivery of the Trust's fundraising strategy.

To lead the preparation, planning and execution of both large >50k appeals and smaller appeals

Deliver against annual targets for different income streams.

To maximise fundraising income by recruiting, motivating and managing fundraising groups and individual volunteers and supporters.

Use persuading and negotiating skills to generate support from corporate's and trustees.

Keep the charities' Trustees' updated on all fundraising activities and work with them to develop the corporate fundraising income stream.

Oversee and develop the Charities supporter journeys, providing excellent recognition to all donors, implementing supporter retention and development plans to increase affinity and maximise engagement, with the aim of increased supporter lifetime value.

Build appropriate legacy propositions into supporter journeys.

Work with the finance team to maximise income opportunities from current and new donors and ensure appropriate recognition plans are in place to ensure repeat support.

Requirement to work flexibly, out of normal hours where required.

Represent the charity and organisation at events and conferences
